Unique Chromogenic prints
I am me, You are you, are unique chromogenic photographs
of mirrored depictions of the unseen. Reflecting on the difference between the negative and the print they have a simultaneous quality of self and other. The photographs represent perceptual space, as well as the distance between occupied spaces. Each photograph functions as a reversal of the original negative. This creates a situation somewhat similar in experience to an individual looking at herself in a mirror. One sees oneself knowing and sometimes forgetting that the reflection is reversed, flattened, distorted. These distortions, often registering only unconsciously, lend uncertainly to the difference between how one sees their likeness and how others perceive them.
